coming accross a facebook profile pic taken about 12 years ago gave me the idea to do a bit of a nostalgic trawl
here is that pic:
and here are some paintings from a few years ago ( not 12 years ago as I havent got photos of most of them, but starting from about 7 yrs back)
And me again in spray painting mood!
And last summer, the wrinkles are setting in, but who cares, life is good
And now a granny in my corner!
And when it started
Thanks everyone for following my journey
my last day in Tavira
amazing bright orange river full of soil run off from last nights rain
strange deserted beach out on the island
felt like a ghost town, just waiting for tumbleweeed
lichen, shrubs, herbs, bark
a rich deposit to mine
so of course more paintings brewing
quite surreal this morning watching the huge tubular tree structure being dismantled in Tavira
A wonderful walk along by the saltpans out to Quatro Aguas today
Fantastic waders, godwits, egrets, spoonbills strutting about and dabbling in the shallow waters
Watched the dinghy class by the harbour
AND at last got some work done!

St Frances Church in Tavira
I’m hoping to go in here in a few minutes to listen to a fado concert. Fado is a special type of mournful singing traditional in this region of Portugal
Couldnt resist this house for its unbelievably yellow yellowness!
these tree berries ( sorry, dont know the tree name) catching the clear January morning sunshine in Tavira, Portugal,
remind me of Van Gogh’s painting of Damson blossom. Same blue perhaps.
