Maybe they might seed them idea for new writing, or a painting maybe
I’m on the train from Belfast to Derry, after a few weeks over in Wales visiting family. Back in the studio tomorrow I hope

the life and direction of my paintings is fascinating me just now, there’s a ‘zone’ sometimes when I’m making them when I’m not sure whether any decisions are being made, or if they have a life or destination of their own
2 Himalayas paintings, both abstracted views from Namobuddha on the rim above Kathmandu valley, have come in to dry in the utility room
The other 2, of Begnas Tal and Pokhara, have been taped, glazed, painted and sprayed
Probably only the Namobuddha pair will make it to my exhibition in Belfast

did another 2 hours with oilbars, powder pigment, varnish, safflower oil
graphite marks and scratches today
new work on unstretched coarse canvas in my studio today
they are not finished and I’m not sure where I’m going with them yet
they are inspired by prayer flags
