Maybe they might seed them idea for new writing, or a painting maybe
I’m on the train from Belfast to Derry, after a few weeks over in Wales visiting family. Back in the studio tomorrow I hope

Peripheries is a large bold piece, oil on linen, c. 90x250cm
I thought I would bring together some of my large works from the last few years, here in a post, and remind myself where they are now.
All these paintings are between 150 and 300cm long and up to 140cm deep. All were made on unstretched linen, stamped to my studio wall, then stretched afterwards, either here or at their destination after they were sold
This is ‘Tower’ just under 3m long. It was a huge challenge getting it out to its new home, by boat, onto a little island off Donegal
This is ‘Voyage’, about 100x190cm, shown at Mark Borghi Fine Art in New York, and placed with a client over there
Me with ‘Lugh’s Portal’ on the opening night of my show at MBFA last year. The painting is still there in their inventory
This is ‘Due West’ in my solo show of the same name two years ago at GreenFuse gallery in Westport. It’s home again now

Two paintings today, both with underpainting in bright red and orange, but surface colours mostly blues

Title :’All manner of things I’ll never understand’
This is a big one, 160cm x 220 cm, unstretched canvas, stapled to the studio wall. ‘Is there anyone there?’
4 new panels each 70x50cm
These 2 are each 60cm square and have undergone a change of heart, or a facelift or a renaissance! Formerly they were darker and mostly orange and quite ‘loud’ with a title to reflect that mood : ‘Tolerate chaos’- the title taken from the 10 well known painting rules of the Bay artist, Richard Diebenkorn.
Now they are calmer and paler, with a new title, ‘Formerly chaos’, perhaps with a nod to us being in control of our moods along with our palette if we so choose!
These 2 are a bit bigger, at 80cm square. They have had a similar transformation using a pale palette of pale ochres, yellows and some very pale blue. Their former title was ‘Oceans, a tipping point’ – part of a series of 5 canvases. They haven’t got new individual names yet
Thus one is ‘Musing’, also 80cm square plus frame, painted 2 years ago on my furst residency at Stiwdio Maelor in Corris in Wales and then exhibited at a group show at Terre Verte Gallery in Cornwall. Home now from her adventures
These 2, ‘Sunshine 1&2’ have also just returned from Cornwall and are also each 80cm square plus frame
