the colours that appear on my tablet never match the colours I see in my paintings, so I always have to increase the saturation, contrast, brightness and ‘temperature’in photo editor, so I am never sure if viewers are seeing what I think I made!So intriguing, yes, accurate, I don’t know!Thanks for taking the time to visit and comment , best wishes, Liz

Great to see the detail and gain a sense of the physical processes at play in your work – the etching of line, the stickiness(?), of the wax surface etc. [I’m not educated in this area so please forgive my nonsensical turn of phrase.] Many congratulations on the accomplishment of this work; it captivates me.
thanks very much Hariod, and also for all your multiple likes just now!These new works in oil and cold wax are my first on panels and I am thoroughly enjoying the rigidity of the surface. The strength and solidity of the substrate and the buttery nature of the wax and oil mixture allow me a great freedom and safety with excited wielding of a palette knife. It sometimes feels as though I am excavating, not just through layers of paint, but also through layers of memory
