trying out little scraps of prayer flags found on the ground in Nepal
prayer flags could be considered litter if they weren’t so beautiful
they are only temporarily fixed to the paintings with hairspray so I can change my mind later

I went out to the studio just to have a look,
in tidy day clothes of course
Taped over both paintings and re-glazed the thin sharp gaps with a nearly white mix of paint and sunflower and turps
Removed the tape and added some more red, blue and yellow oil bar to bring up the colour again
They might be finished

the Himalayas are so vast and overpowering that I am finding it difficult to approach the task of painting them
the scope and spread and scene is just too huge
after seeing some of ‘said-simply’s doodles here on WordPress, I decided to have a go at loosening up with some really quick pastel sketches
so here they are
