Phew! Back to 80cm sq for now
First 3 layers on this piece yesterday and today
And 2 layers so far on the one on the right
And some more work on one of the huge ones (200 x 120cm) It’s such an effort to manoeuvre these giants that sadly ‘go large’ can’t be a long term strategy
Just finished this diptych
2 canvases each 80 x 100cm so the whole piece is 80 x 200cm
Thinking of making the same idea on canvases at least twice the size
Update on trees from Hafod
Diptych 100cm x 200cm, probably finished now – and probable title is ‘Winter Trees’ (Hafod is an estate in Wales with lovely woodland open to the public, but not many people outside Wales know the name )
The other painting is still in progress, inspired by a sunset over the sea ‘Carrickfinn boat strand’
Also a diptych, but this time each canvas is 100cm x 80cm so the whole piece is 100 x 160cm
First time back in the studio after returning from Wales
Started 2 canvases each one metre square
Tape and paint and more tape and more paint
Will add dark tree silhouettes after Christmas
