be safe and well
wishing all my friends and followers, visitors and viewers, and all of you out there in all the distant reaches of this beautiful world, a peaceful 2015
Some more texture and colour layers on the two new panels
each 110cm x 80cm
Very wild and windy today, had to keep leaving the srudio because the stove was smoking
Starting to bring out the shapes with small lines and dribbles and scratches revealed wirh orange peel solvent
Detail close up shots, one from each panel
so here they are back in my much reorganised and spacious feeling studio
applied a few more layers using baking paper to transfer the paint with a roller
then ‘ revealed’ the beginning of a couple of forms wirh solvent, blotted with tissue
scratched a bit, smoothed a bit with a squeegee
photos are rather gloomy because its dark outside and studio lights are dim
I am showing these 8 pieces in the ‘Affordable Art Fair’ at An Griannan in Letterkenny next month
This will in effect be an art sale, with all works being priced, as the name suggests, at lower than the usual rate for the artist. I have far too much work stockpiled at home, so I will be pricing each of these at less than 100 euro in the sale. I have to deliver them to Letterkenny by next Wednesday 29th October.
However, if anyone wants to offer me 100 euro ( or exchange rate equivalent in £ or $) plus postage at cost for any of these before then please e mail me at:

50cm sq
framed, mixed media on board, c. 80 x 55cm
these 2 each 60 cm sq on box canvas, mixed media including spray paint
4 of these works on paper, mounted, framed and glazed, image sizes c.8 x 10″
As these 4 are glazed, please note that I cannot guarantee survival of the glass in transit, though of course I will wrap them well
12 small works on paper
getting there slowly
several new layers of cold wax medium and oil, and a few new graphite marks
removed some of the tape so I can see where I’m at
this one is probably my favourite so far
Will take them off the boards tomorrow, then choose 3 or 4 to do some more work on, and retape those 4 to the board
