glad to be back in my studio and natural light
added a creamier layer to the 3 canvases
and the 2 new little ones have joined the wall of recent panels
I am delighted to be artist in residence at An Gailearai in Gweedore, Donegal
First day today, very productive
First layers laid down
Display of completed work
Making progress with several layers building up, and the first random marks on a canvas 80 x 100cm
Early marks and layers on 2 paper pieces taped to the wall, each c. 75 x 55cm
6 of the bigger pieces as I left them at 5pm today, looking forward to going back tomorrow
small works on paper from the last couple of days
I have yet to master the skill of getting a whole set off the board without tearing the paper when removing the tape
but I always get some I’m happy with
Some of the best of these will be framed, hopefully for a summer show in Dublin
The second, grey and gold ones, are called ‘Irish Gold, weather series’ !
6 namaste paintings ( 3 mostly red, 3 mostly gold) finished now with edges waxed
shown here in my newly plastered but as yet unpainted studio
must say I rather like the rough grey cement
I am selling these now for 450 US $, or 400 euro or £300 each 40cm sq piece, with a good reduction if you buy more than one
price includes postage to anywhere in the world
