2 attempts and life drawing in oils yesterday
not my usual subject matter
so very challenging and hard work

each mixed media (oil, oilbar and graphite pencil) 40 x 30cm approx
all sold in an on-line charity auction
I think I might make some more like this later on this winter

this is the foundation stone / wheel / arch of my work
an inspiration first discovered in college
built on and flowering
thank you secret gardener for showing me the origin
raw frustration
3 rough-edged pieces of raw unprimed canvas
mounted and painted on commercial canvas
then removed from the mounts
swirls and shapes and angry colours
painted with ferocious energy
now hang limply over a rail
what next?
each piece is about 70cm squarish, originally mounted on 80cm sq canvas
I could re stretch and remount
I could paint over them
I could burn them
any thoughts?
