Monday morning, nearly Christmas
Sitting reading and drinking a first coffee by the stove
Just retrieved the hyacinths ‘forcing’, from the cupboard, in the yellow bowl
They always hold so much promise
At this, their etiolated stage
Like us, searching for the light
All the blue and yellow
Like a painting, perhaps I haven’t painted yet

These 6 small pieces ( two are 12″ square, the other four, 6″square) are being mounted and framed as 3 diptychs for my solo show at Mark Borghi Fine Art in Bridgehampton, Long Island, New York which opens on 20th October.
Just had confirmation that my work will be shown in the Show House at the Ideal Home Show at the RDS in Dublin at the end of October
